This blog will follow our Ecology Service Learning Project (ESLP) journey for our Honors Biology class at Willow Glen High School. The purpose of the ESLPs in our class is to provide and give back to the community through nature and ecology. The general goal for our ESLP is to convey our message about the nature of our community through artwork, which will hopefully become a meaningful addition to our school's garden.
Our ESLP is a hanging mural with an image of our "Tree of Connection," the painting of a tree with roots growing out of the earth and the branches stretching upwards into the beyond. The idea is based off of our teacher (Mr. Bursch)'s idea and image of the saying "everything is connected," a message that was first introduced to us in the very beginning of the school year.
The Tree of Connection ESLP team consists of Raven Manalo and Morgan Tong, with the occasional assistance of Izabella Rodriguez.
